Carom cues are made to different specifications than a traditional pool cue. Carom cues are 56" long (2" shorter than a traditional pool cue). The shafts on carom cues have a straight taper (often called a "European" taper) and feature a smaller tip diameter ranging from 11.75mm-12mm.

Intimidator i-Shafts
Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core
The i-Shaft’s Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core extends the full-length of the shaft (from ferrule to joint), stabilizing the entire shaft for absolute control and predictability. This technology increases radial consistency, reduces vibration and virtually eliminates the inconsistencies found in a traditional maple shaft.
Tenon Tip Technology
The i-Shaft’s patented Tenon Tip Technology increases the "sweet spot" of the shaft by transferring energy from the tip directly into the carbon fiber core. This results in a more solid hit that maximizes the accuracy of your shot.
Radial Consistency
Radial consistency is the shaft’s ability to perform the same way on every shot, regardless of its orientation. The i-Shaft's Triple-Layer Carbon Fiber Core technology will consistently provide a straighter cue ball path, minimizing the need to compensate for spin and throw.
Navigator Premium Tips
Navigator tips are made using 100% Japanese pigskin leather. They are laminated and pressed utilizing a specialized method, which features a proprietary adhesive that won't affect the leather's hardness. This prevents oxidation, meaning the tip won't get harder after short usage.
Warranty Information
McDermott's Lifetime Warranty applies only to the original purchaser/owner of the cue and must be purchased from an authorized McDermott dealer. McDermott Cue warrants its pool cues to be free of defects in material and workmanship, including warpage, for as long as the product is owned by the original purchaser/owner. McDermott does not warrant its product against:
normal wear and tear including tip, finish, wrap, and bumper
misuse, abuse or mishandling
modification or improper maintenance performed by third parties
damage caused by exposure to extreme temperature or humidity
All warranty claims must include the complete cue and are subject to evaluation at our facility prior to approval. Products that do not qualify for the McDermott Lifetime Warranty can be serviced by McDermott for a fee. To obtain warranty service on a McDermott product, return the product to an authorized McDermott dealer or directly to McDermott along with a copy of your original sales receipt
G-Core Tip Replacement: When replacing the tip on your G-Core shaft, the .030” (.762mm) black fiber tip pad located directly above the ferrule must remain intact. Removal of the tip pad or reduction in thickness below .015” (.381mm) will compromise the shaft’s integrity, performance, and void the warranty.
DISCLAIMER: This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. McDermott disclaims all warranties for products that are purchased from sellers other than authorized retailers or distributors. McDermott's warranty against warpage was introduced in 2004. Older cues do not qualify. Shafts turned below 11.75mm will void the warranty.
